A relaxed paint-your-own-pottery experience in the Blue Heron Clayworks Studio.
Join us this summer on select Fridays in the studio! Choose a 1.5-hour painting session, pick one pottery piece from our available selection, and enjoy a relaxed, self-guided paint-your-own-pottery experience.
We’ll get you started with the basics, show you how the ceramic paints work, and then you can paint at your own pace. This is a great option for families, friend groups, date nights, or anyone who wants a low-pressure creative outlet.

Basic glazing instructions
Professional kiln firing
A curated selection of pieces will be available on a rotating basis. There will be at least 7 items to choose from at each session. Think mugs, tumblers, bowls, dessert plates, ring dishes, animal figurines, ornaments, planters, and other seasonal pieces for example.
2:30–4:00 PM — Family-friendly
4:30–6:00 PM — Family-friendly
6:30–8:00 PM — Adults & teens
A calmer evening session for adults, teens, date nights, and friend groups.
This is a self-guided pottery painting session, not a formal class. We’ll give you simple instructions when you arrive and help you get started, but you’ll have plenty of freedom to paint your piece however you like.
Please arrive on time for your reserved session so you have the full painting time available.
Finished pottery usually takes about 2–3 weeks to be ready for pickup, depending on the firing schedule.
Parking is limited, so carpooling is encouraged where possible.
