Messy hands. Happy hearts.
Nestled in the beautiful Rogue Valley, Blue Heron Clayworks specializes in pottery painting classes, private parties, and clay-making workshops.
Between work, screens, and busy schedules, it’s easy to lose touch with the things that make us feel human — creativity, connection, and play. Blue Heron Clayworks is here to help you reclaim them.
Feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or digitally drained?
Our workshops offer a screen-free, sensory escape where you can pause from the busyness of life, reconnect with your creativity, and make a pottery piece that’s uniquely yours. You’ll leave feeling refreshed, grounded, and proud of what you created — a reminder that slowing down can be just as productive as speeding up.
Looking for a fun way to celebrate the season?
No matter what time of year it is, our seasonal events are all about celebration, connection, and creative pottery projects. Who knows? You may even win a prize or two. One thing is certain, you’ll walk away with memories to look back on and a one-of-a-kind treasure to remind you of the occasion.
Wish there was a pottery studio closer to you?
For those of you living in or near Eagle Point, we have great news — a brand new pottery studio is now open in Eagle Point! While we don’t have regular open hours yet, we are offering open studio sessions for pottery painting on the third Thursdays of the month from 3:00-8:00pm. Or you can book a private pottery painting event with us at a time that works for you. We’ve got many more classes, workshops, and offerings planned, so be sure you follow us on Instagram or Facebook and sign up for our e-mail newsletter to stay informed.
Roll up your sleeves and get creative with us! Join Blue Heron Clayworks for clay making workshops and pottery painting events where learning feels like a party.

What people are saying about our workshops
How it all began
When I took my first pottery class, I instantly fell in love with the process of transforming raw, shapeless clay into something beautiful and useful. Pottery quickly became both a creative outlet and a source of healing for me during a challenging season in my life. One piece at a time, my own little pottery setup came together — a wheel, a kiln, shelves of clay and glazes.
What started in my bedroom closet has turned into something much bigger. If you told me a year ago that we would be here now, starting a business and building a pottery studio, I wouldn’t have believed you. It feels too good to be true! But here we are, and I’m so grateful.
I believe we’re all born creative — and that reconnecting with that creativity can be deeply restorative, joyful, and life-giving. Blue Heron Clayworks was started by my husband (Chris) and I to help others rediscover the joy and calm that come from making something with their own two hands. I hope you’ll give it a whirl!
With messy hands and a happy heart,
Keri Gillig
