Upcoming Events

Between work, screens, and busy schedules, it’s easy to lose touch with the things that make us feel human — creativity, connection, and play. Blue Heron Clayworks is here to help you reclaim them.

Feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or digitally drained?

Our workshops offer a screen-free, sensory escape where you can pause from the busyness of life, reconnect with your creativity, and make a pottery piece that’s uniquely yours. You’ll leave feeling refreshed, grounded, and proud of what you created — a reminder that slowing down can be just as productive as speeding up.

Looking for a fun way to celebrate the season?

From Christmas to Valentine’s Day, to Mother’s Day and more, our seasonal workshops are all about celebration, connection, and creative pottery projects. Who knows? You may even win a prize or two. One thing is certain, you’ll walk away with memories to look back on and a one-of-a-kind treasure to remind you of the occasion.

Wish there was a pottery studio closer to you?

For those of you living in or near Eagle Point, we have great news — a brand new pottery studio is coming to Eagle Point! While many of our workshops can travel to local venues, others — like wheel throwing — need a dedicated space. We’re also eager to offer kids’ summer camps, paint-your-own-pottery drop in sessions, private events, and open studio times. The walls are up and progress is underway, but there’s still work to do before we open the doors. Follow along on Instagram for updates and sneak peeks, or visit our Founding Friends page to help bring this creative space to life even sooner.

Roll up your sleeves and get creative with us! Join Blue Heron Clayworks for pottery workshops and paint-your-own events where learning feels like a party.

  • Seasonal Workshops

Celebrate the season by learning to make pottery! From cozy winter gatherings to sunny summer sessions, our workshops are the perfect way to reconnect with friends, make memories with family, or just treat yourself to something fun.

  • Help Us Finish the Studio

The dream of Blue Heron Clayworks is to create a permanent studio in Eagle Point — a place where creativity and community can grow. If you’d like to help bring that vision to life, we invite you to join us as a Founding Friend.

How it all began

When I took my first pottery class, I instantly fell in love with the process of transforming raw, shapeless clay into something beautiful and useful. Pottery quickly became both a creative outlet and a source of healing for me during a challenging season in my life. One piece at a time, my own little pottery setup came together — a wheel, a kiln, shelves of clay and glazes.

What started in my bedroom closet has turned into something much bigger. If you told me a year ago that we would be here now, starting a business and building a community pottery studio, I wouldn’t have believed you. It feels too good to be true! But here we are, and I’m so grateful.

I believe we’re all born creative — and that reconnecting with that creativity can be deeply restorative, joyful, and life-giving. Blue Heron Clayworks was started by my husband (Chris) and I to help others rediscover the joy and calm that come from making something with their own two hands. I hope you’ll give it a whirl!

With messy hands and a happy heart,

Keri Gillig
